It was a festive occassion when Mr. Holking and his family would visit Hale Pohaku.
The entire community would come to greet them. A hukilau would follow with plenty of fish, food and fun for the whole Waimanalo beachfront community. Mr. Hocking is shown reading on the terrace overlooking the south coast. More nets and Hocking children on holiday in Waimanalo while old man Hocking helps with the nets.
Beach fashions tell the dates as we move to color footage and Hocking kids enjoy a local swimming hole.
Many thanks to Bruce Hill for sharing his family video with our guests at Hale Pohaku.
